  • Short Term Goals are the basis for your weight loss program. Be specific. Say I lose 1/2 to one pound each week, instead of just a goal to lose weight each week. Say I will drink eight glasses of water each day instead of a vague goal of to drink more water.
  • Short Term Goals provide frequent small achievements and rewards for accomplishing them. This helps to stay motivated. Plan a month ahead to indicate your goals and rewards.
  • Long Term Goals are the basis for staying on your new eating and activity program. Plan a big reward such as a brand new wardrobe for your slim new body. Choose a certain size of clothing you want to wear or a certain body measurement, such a waist or hip measurement. Your confidence level will soar and you will be amazed at how much better you feel.
